At Edgehill Collection® Coat, Swim, Dress, we believe that quality children’s apparel should be both beautiful and accessible. For over 25 years, we have been designing timeless clothing for infants, toddlers, and young children that is crafted to last from one sibling to the next.
Our Story
It all started in a small home studio, where our founder Sarah lovingly designed dresses for her two young daughters. Sarah had a passion for smocking and heirloom sewing techniques, which she learned from her mother, a talented seamstress. As Sarah’s girls grew, so did their collection of precious handmade clothes.
Friends and family took notice of the girls’ unique, beautiful outfits and started requesting similar pieces for their own children. Soon Sarah’s hobby evolved into a home business making children’s clothing for local customers.
As demand continued to grow, Sarah brought on additional local seamstresses. In 1997, the Edgehill Collection® was officially founded in Nashville, TN. We set up our first small workshop and opened a little retail storefront.
Word of our collection’s impeccable quality and detailing spread rapidly. Before we knew it, we were receiving wholesale orders from boutiques across the country. We moved production into a larger facility and focused our efforts on our wholesale business.
Today, Edgehill Collection® is a leading brand of heirloom children’s clothing, available at over 300 specialty stores. We continue to operate our workshop in Nashville, where we lovingly make each piece and focus on exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

We release new collections each season that feature our signature timeless silhouettes and heirloom details. Here is an overview of what you can expect from our product lines:

This core collection features our best-selling styles in classic fabrics and colors like crisp white eyelet, gingham, linen, Swiss dot, and stripes. Dresses, rompers, and gowns for girls, along with rompers and gowns for boys.
Seasonal Collection
Each season, we design fresh variations on our classic styles reflecting the time of year. Spring styles feature bright colors and floral prints. Summer welcomes seersuckers, swimsuits, and breezy dresses. Fall explores plaid wovens and corduroys. Winter includes velvets, knits, and holiday looks.
Collaborations
We partner with other children’s brands to offer limited-edition themed and styled collections. Collaborations in the past have included bedding, accessories, shoes, and hair accessories.
Heirloom Couture
This premiere collection features show-stopping special occasion and heirloom styles embellished with intricate details like appliqué, cutwork, lace, and hand embroidery.
Traditional Sportswear
We capture the preppy essence of tennis, sailing, and country clubs in our Traditional Sportswear styles featuring classics like polos, skorts, sweater sets, and tennis dresses.
Swimwear
Our swimwear includes coordinated separates and ruffled maillot styles for girls in coordinated prints and ginghams. For boys, we offer swim trunks featuring prints, stripes, madras, and solids.
Coats & Jackets
These styles range from timeless trench coats to varsity jackets and lightweight windbreakers. Many styles include matching caps or hats.

Our Process
Fabric Sourcing
We source premium quality fabrics from around the world and stock our workshop with the finest cottons, silks, linens, wools, and cashmeres. Many of our signature fabrics are custom woven exclusively for us.
Design and Development
Our talented designers sketch collections inspired by vintage children’s clothing from the early 20th century. Once we select the final styles, we create paper patterns and sewn prototypes.
Small Batch Production
Every piece is lovingly brought to life by our skilled seamstresses in our Nashville workshop. We make items in limited quantities to ensure consistent quality.
Quality Control
Each item undergoes a thorough inspection once complete. Any item not meeting our rigorous standards gets reworked until perfection.
Photoshoot Styling
We style professional photoshoots showcasing each new collection worn by local children models. These delightful images let our retail customers see how each piece pairs with others.
Fulfillment and Shipping
We process and package every wholesale order by hand with great care at our headquarters. We individually wrap, box, and ship out items promptly to our partner retailers.
